Two Challenges - Mojo Monday & MDUC

Posted at 03:56 AM on December 31, 2009 Comments comments (1)

Here we go, I have attempted two challenges with this one.

The first being the Magnolia Down Under Challenge  #29 and the other my first entry for Mojo Monday - week 119.

The theme for the Magnolia Down Under Challenge is a "Stamp with another use" - I have used the Tilda with Puppy and using my Stampin' Up! I (heart) Hearts stamp set modified it to a Valentines Day Card with Tilda holding a love heart.

The other Challenge for the Mojo Monday is a sketch Challenge.

I have modified it a little, but the main theme is there.

Sorry for the picture quality, I need to take the pictures in the daylight, rather than dusk.

Another Slider Card

Posted at 12:03 AM on December 30, 2009 Comments comments (0)

Hello all

Here is another Slider Pop Up Card I have just made.

I decided to pull out my punches and make this cute punch art panda I saw recently and put my own spin on it to make it a part of my favorite new card technique.

Theme - in preparation for my next big rush of card preperations - Valentines Day.

I utilised the new stamp set, currently availalbe in the Stampin' Up! Summer Mini - I (heart) hearts. You most likley cant see from the picture, but the particular stamp used, gives it a velvet 3D look, using just card stock and matching ink.

I will be offering a range of these cards as a class or workshop, contact me if you are interested in attending.

Stampin' Up! Products Used

Stamp Sets: I (heart) Hearts, short & Sweet

Paper: Whisper White, Real Red, Basic Black

Various Stampin' Up! Punches Used.

Ink: Real Red

Till next time.

Happy Stampin'

Pop Up Slider Cards

Posted at 03:50 AM on December 29, 2009 Comments comments (0)

See I told you I would be back with something to show!

Here I have made my first Pop up slider cards, which I am really impressed with.

I put this card together to give to a new customer to show some ideas with a stamp set they had recently purchased.

This first one, is not really to my liking, I really was not thinking of my colors when I started, I was just using some off cuts of paper I had on hand.

I was still not happy with the finished result, it just looked too plain, so I ended up embossing the card, using a birthday theme embossing folder. I also used Crystal Effects on the cupcakes to enhance them.  With a much better result.

Stampin' Up! Products Used

Stamp Set: Crazy for Cupcakes

Card Stock: Pixie Pink, Whisper White

Ink: Chocolate Chip, Stampin Write Markers

Other: Crystal Effects, Brads, Whisper White Ribbon

Punches: Tab Punch

Belated Merry Christmas

Hello all,

I hope you all had a very Merry Christmas and I look forward to a Happy New Year inspiring you with my creations.

Sorry for the lack of posts for a few days, I have taken a quick break.

Having been kept flat out busy making Christmas orders, right up to Chrismas eve and now I am at a loss at where to start.

No to worry I have been searching for some ideas, and will be back soon with something to show.

Angela

Cash Slider Card

Posted at 06:45 AM on December 23, 2009 Comments comments (0)

Well I have had a great night creating, I finished off some items ordered for Christmas Table Place Settings, made another Punch Pals gift box and then tackled an idea that I wanted to recreate.

I have been looking for a fancy way to jaz up a gift of money for Christmas (or any occasion really) and recently saw a quick picture on Teneale Williams blog.

So I sat down and thought this cant be too hard to create, and I am really happy with the result, this is my version.

There are various modifications that can be made to these slider designs, they can be modified to hold a chocolate block or bar, or a gift card - anything really and the design of the pull ribbon gives a great visual effect.  I am sure that anyone who receives one of these as a gift, will love it just as much as the cash enclosed.

See you pull the ribbon to the right and out slides the treat.

This one is def a keeper and I am sure you will see more of my designs in the future and maybe even a tutorial or two.

Ofcourse, this would make a great hands on project that you and your friends could easily make at your own workshop?? say based on a birthday theme?

Express your interest with me now for a workshop - and there are some great benifits to be had for holding a workshop commencing from late January.

Stampin Up Products Used:

I have again used my Punch Art Santa Heads as described in a previous post.

Card Stock: Chocolate Chip, Riding Hood Red, Whisper White

Ink: Chocolate Chip, Riding Hood Red,

Ribbon: Chocolate Chip 1.6cm

More Gift Giving Examples

Posted at 11:20 PM on December 22, 2009 Comments comments (0)

Hello all,

How are you all surviving the Christmas rush – I have just a few more requests and orders to fulfil for last minute Christmas cards and Christmas day dinner table treats and am finally onto starting to create some special gifts for my own family and friends – talk about leaving mine to the last minute.

Here are some of my most recent creations, I created the below slide out gift box to fit the specific measurements of the goodies I was giving, in the below instance it is a block of Cadbury Dairy Milk Chocolate – I tell you I am much better creating the measurements from my head, than trying to follow a tutorial – I seem to have no end of trouble with measuring by instructions (backwards, I know).

The Stampin' Up! stamp set I used is– Punch Pals, It is such a great set and has so many uses, I used the cut outs that I had stamped, colour, glittered and cut out for the stair card featured in a previous post and followed the same concept with the background of snow.

Here is another project I made using my Santa Punch Art Heads, made completely from Stampin' Up! punches.

And another using the Holiday Line Up Stamp Set, Chocolate Chip & Riding Hood Red Ink Pads, Real Red & Close to Coco Markers, 2 way glue pen, dazzling diamonds and Crystal effects.

Christmas is not even over and I am thinking ahead for another busy time, I look forward to having some time off from my day job and being able to create all these ideas I have in my head to try.

Plus I will be preparing for my upcoming classes and further work on my class schedule for 2010.

I would love to hear from any of my blog followers, so please feel free to leave any comments..
